Children's Program Volunteer
Crisis Response Team
Crisis Team Advocate Volunteers meet with victims of violence to offer support, resources, and referrals. CRT Volunteers are on-call after hours (evenings and weekends) and are dispatched through law enforcement when there has been police involvement with a domestic violence or sexual assault situation. Volunteers should be comfortable dealing with a crisis situation and providing calm, compassionate care and resources to survivors dealing with an often traumatic event.
Fundraising and Special Events
Fundraising and special event volunteers assist with setting up, running, and tearing down the different special events that Safe Harbor hosts in the community. These may include awareness events, fundraisers, or presentations.
Outreach Center Volunteer
Safe Harbor Outreach Center
Outreach Center volunteers help with greeting Outreach clients, answering phone calls, making appointments, and taking care of the Outreach office. They also assist Outreach advocates with organizing and locating needed resources, setting up for groups, maintaining the supply of brochures, and intake paperwork.
Protective Order Court
Protective Order Court Volunteers assist petitioners in court by directing them where to go, helping them fill out paperwork, and offering support prior to and during their hearing. This role is perfect for someone who is solution-oriented, compassionate, and assertive when needed.

Shelter volunteers are essential to the daily operations of Safe Harbor's Emergency Shelter. Volunteers at our shelter help with a variety of tasks including: - Answering the crisis line - Completing intakes - Accepting and organizing donations - Problem solving with residents - Assisting with other shelter operations This role is perfect for someone who is solution-oriented, enjoys working in a team environment, and is comfortable dealing with crisis.
